This month’s flash

Each design is tattooed as drawn, in the size shown. Some are repeatable; others are one of a kind and come off the wall once they’re claimed.

How flash works

Simple, quick, no surprises

Set prices

Small flash is $150 and medium flash $280, including the design. The price on the sheet is the price you pay.

Short appointments

One hour for small pieces, two for medium. No consultation needed; just name the design in your booking notes.

Small tweaks welcome

Swap a flower, change the color or add a line of script. Bigger changes make it a custom piece.

Who tattoos flash

Mara Quinn

Mara Quinn

Owner · Blackwork & Dotwork

Mara opened Sigil in 2016 after nine years in shops from Portland to New Orleans. Bold blackwork, ornamental dotwork and large-scale pieces that follow the body.

Theo Brandt

Theo Brandt

Neo-Traditional & Color

Theo draws saturated, hard-wearing color: animals, botanicals and portraits with a bold outline. He’s our go-to for cover-ups that need real color to hide the old work.

Ruben Castillo

Ruben Castillo

Black & Grey Realism

Ruben grew up drawing in his dad’s barbershop on East Cesar Chavez. Smooth black and grey realism, portraits, religious and Chicano-style lettering, in single sessions or full sleeves.

Elias Ward

Elias Ward

Fine Line & Script

Elias works with single needles and a light hand: delicate florals, micro-script and minimal line work that heals crisp. Most of his first-tattoo clients come back for a second.

Flash questions

Good to know

Can I get flash in a different size?

Usually, yes. Flash can go a little bigger or smaller; ask when you arrive. Much smaller often means less detail, so your artist may simplify it to keep it readable.

Can someone else get the same design?

Repeatable flash, yes; that’s part of the tradition. Designs marked one-of-a-kind are tattooed once and then retired.

Do you do walk-ins?

When a chair is free, yes, for flash and piercings. Booking online is the only way to be sure, especially on Fridays and Saturdays.

Do you hold flash days?

A few times a year, with special sheets and set prices. Follow us on Instagram or join the newsletter to hear first.
